Nevison Drive Resident’s Association Inc. is a cottage association, formed in the 1970’s and incorporated in 2004. It is located on the east side of Gull River off road 45, (formerly hwy 503) in Norland, Township of Somerville.

It has a fixed membership 33 property owners. The access road is unassumed township road and is maintained by the association. The association is a member of FOCA and is seeking growth through participation with other associations. The membership is made up of 6 permanent residents, and 27seasonal residents.

Membership fees pay for road maintenance, legal fees and other needs when they arise. Issues tackled by the association in recent years include:

Road Maintenance.
Road Use.
Nuisance Bears
Municipal Services
Cottage Watch

Neil Ham 1944-2010

Obituary for Neil Ham
HAM, Charles Neil ~ After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Monday, February 8, 2010 at the age of 66. Loving husband of Suzanne Plourde-Ham of Norland. Father of Lesley McRae and stepson to Michael Mallet and his fiancee Melanie. Cherished popa Neil to Madison, Samantha and Sarah McRae. Dear nephew of George Ham of Lindsay and best friend to Doug Donnait. Remembered by son-in-law Kevin McRae. Celebration of Neil’s life will be held at the Cat & Fiddle, 49 William Street North, Lindsay on Sunday, February 14th at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to Neil’s favourite charity the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes may be made through the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay or online donations and condolences at www.mackeys.ca

Home Renovation Tax Credit (HRTC)

Are you planning on taking advantage of the Home Renovation Tax Credit?

The Home Renovation Tax Credit (subject to Parliamentary approval) is a non-refundable tax credit based on eligible expenses for improvements to your house, condo or cottage. It can be claimed on your 2009 income tax return. It applies to work performed or goods acquired after January 27, 2009, and before February 1, 2010 under an agreement entered into after January 27, 2009.

I have just posted the pictures at 7:15 pm and it is no longer snowing. Hopefully we have seen the worst of it.
